FLINT, Mich. – A judge has ordered a second murder trial for a man charged in a series of stabbings in Michigan.
Elias Abuelazam (EE'-lee-uhs A'-boo-LAH'-zuhm) is accused of killing Arnold Minor in Flint on Aug. 2. Judge Nathaniel Perry said Friday there was sufficient evidence to push the case forward. Michigan State Police scientist Kristin Schelling says Minor's DNA was in blood found on Abuelazam's clothes and Chevy Blazer.
The 34-year-old Abuelazam now faces two murder trials and five attempted murder trials for attacks in and around Flint earlier this year. He faces another probable cause hearing in a murder case on Dec. 16.
He is charged with attempted murder in Toledo, Ohio.
