The children's charity founded by former Penn State coaching aide Jerry Sandusky, who is accused of sexually abusing children, said it cut ties with him in 2008.
"The most recent reports we've read this past weekend state that Mr. Sandusky met the alleged victims through The Second Mile. To our knowledge, all the alleged incidents occurred outside of our programs and events," the group, The Second Mile, said in a statement, Reuters reports.
Sandusky, who worked as a former coaching aide to Penn State football legend Joe Paterno, is accused of abusing eight boys over 15 years through the charity.
Penn State Vice President Gary Schultz and Athletic Director Tim Curley are accused of failing to alert police to complaints that Sandusky was sexually abusing boys.
The Second Mile reportedly said on Monday that Sandusky informed them in 2008 he was under investigation.
"We immediately made the decision to separate him from all of our program activities involving children. Thus, from 2008 to present, Mr. Sandusky has had no involvement with Second Mile programs involving children," the organization said.
